Coincidentally, I went to see Casino Royale earlier today. I think that my problem with it was that I had no idea that Casino Royale was the first book, which meant I was confused that Bond had only just received Double-O status.

I did enjoy it though. I especially enjoyed the fact that I could see chemistry with Bond and Lynd, since the leading couples in some films have all the chemistry of limp cardboard. I am also amazed at Fleming's creativity. Vesper is quite possibly the strangest name I have ever come across.

I agree with you on the weeping blood guy though. Creepy.
