The Potterdämmerung approaches...

Ten years of narrative pressure are about to be released. The people who produced a hundred BANGy theories will probably find the ending too simplistic, because no one solution can live up to the complexity of some of the things I've seen posted; people whose ships sink or favourite characters die are going to be furious, and if Snape turns out to have been evil all along his wives on the astral plane will be very unhappy.
Personally I'll be happy with it if the body count spares my favourites. I'm very anxious about Harry, Ginny and Neville, and to a lesser degree Ron, Hermione and Luna. I'm resigned to one Weasley at least dying, and some of the Hogwarts staff. I don't want to be spoiled though. It's going to be hard not to turn to the last chapter and start looking for who's still walking around.

heh, yeah. She used to say all the time how it was just these seven books and nothing else was going to happen after that. Then I heard something about her saying she might do a prequel about the marauders, but it may have just been one of those internet rumors.

I'm just too lazy to buy it, is all :). My roommate at the annual gathering every year always has two copies (American edition and British)-- when book six came out, I just grabbed the American one off of her until she finished reading the British one, then finished in the British edition.

After which there was much staying up and Discussing. Good craic if ever there was some.

I like the idea of some Marauder Era fic. However, I think that JKR is going to pull a Lucas and just TAKE A BREAK for awhile. My gods, her whole life has been Potter for so long...
