I think streaming each separate subject on ability level would be a good thing. So I would have been in the top stream for maths and science, top of the middle for languages, and right at the bottom for sports and music.
I loved A-level (16-18) because I only had three subjects to study, and I chose Maths, Physics and Chemistry. No more geography...no more essays...
