Just watched the latest Dr Who, hiding under a duvet for the scary bits.

I can stand aliens, explosions and the End Of The World As We Know It just fine, but séances and blue ectoplasm things give me the humorous vegetables.

Speaking of vegetables, for lunch today elerrina_amanya and I made pasta in olive oil, garlic and tomato bits. It was really quite good, surprisingly.

Okay, this is a Terry Pratchett reference.

In his book The Truth, there is a man (there's alway one) who keeps bringing his humorous vegetables to the Times for them to publish. The vegetables, of course, look like a man's...er...you know, otherwise known as 'willy'.

Right. There is also a British expression, 'X gives me the willies', meaning, X scares me. Substitute the vegetables in the right place...

Nothing whatever to do with vegetables, but I just finished reading Rebel Heart and I really loved it. It made me want to watch the first trilogy all over again, which I probably will this weekend. Thank you!

Oh! *blushes* I'm so flattered. Actually, I'm doing a rewrite (very slowly) at the minute. Not to mention the damn sequel...
