Why wasn't the TARDIS pulled into the void like Rose? It had been to Pete's world just as much as she had.

I was thinking it would be nice to have a companion who could actually pronounce the letters 'th', but seeing as Adeola calls her boyfriend 'Gareff' I fear I am doomed to frustration. I loathe that mispronunciation.

It's worse (I think) when people pronounce the letter aitch as haitch - drives me mad.

But that's only when they're spelling things, and not the whole time.

Anyway, aitch/haitch is a Protestant/Catholic shibboleth in NI, so you're not allowed to get annoyed by it.

Still not as bad as having two of your names prnounced wrongly every time they're mentioned....

Thank you. That's very interesting. I should have guessed, because we have similar problems in Wales. I'm always having to explain that x doesn't exist in Welsh and that w after certain letters is pronounced as if it were English u.

I agree that one's own names being mispronounced is the worst thing. No-one mispronounces mine, but they do roar with laughter at the combination of my first and second names. (No! Not telling you!)
