Numb3rs 5.14 - Sneakerhead
I thought that this would be rubbish when I saw the trailer, but what saved it was the Feds' reaction shots, especially with Bit o Nutz.
Man, did he just say...?
Yep. Still, at least no-one's likely to die today.
Until your head explodes, boss. Colby seriously owes me for this one...
Don..a suit jacket, a hoodie and an FBI cap? You dress in the dark?
I hope Nespola had a list of possible passphrases on a bit of paper tucked away somewhere (it's always the human factor), because otherwise it's just too unbelievable. The whole point of a passphrase is that it increases the number of easily memorisable combinations to a point where the possibility of it being cracked is sufficiently low.
I liked Don/Rob's little jab at David/Alimi being a comic book collector, and I do wonder if it was ad-libbed. And David's 'It worked for Batman' line.
And the Eppes family scenes were love. Everyone's amusement at the thought of Charlie being Alan's lab supervisor. Don turning up at CalSci. Larry's "When do I ever digress?" *Charlie looks at Alan* *Alan looks at Don* *Don looks at Charlie* *Clan Eppes collectively is sayin nuffin*
Aw, poor little Donnie not having any sneakers for Little League!
I liked Nikki in this, reminiscing about the shoes she had as a child. Her rapport with Lala was nice. And I was amused to notice that she has now joined the defenders of the mathematicians. And Liz spontaneously using the word heuristic, and Don's reaction, were priceless.
I liked the scene with Liz snarking about the Coppertone, and Charlie totally failing to catch the Paperweight of Scientific Exposition. 'Ow! What did you do that for?' And Alan the lab tech, and who really mows the Eppes lawn.Well, we could guess it's not Charlie...
See, if Colby had been there they totally would have caught Diddums when he jumped out of the window.
Nespola's son wearing the trainers and destroying their value was hilarious. And David encouraging the boy to play some more :)
Loved the cracks about old boots and Alan changing his will, and Charlie's Air Geeks. Now I want to see him wear them!
I'm glad Liz is staying, and the scene where she returned, and explained about her old boots and the team and the Eppeses being family was sweet, but I can't help having a nagging worry that they're going to pair her up with someone in future. Nice that she had that conversation with Nikki about being in the 'boys club'. Bedchel-test-passing is rare and good to see in Numb3rs.

Too bad that didn't work on Megan. :(

Don's bosses are probably assuming that he sleeps with all his female agents and that's why they all leave :) (Terry, Megan, and now almost Liz) and the one he did sleep with is the one who changed her mind :D
I wouldn't mind Colby/Liz, and I think they have more chemistry than she and Don, but it would a bit icky after she's already been with Don. Actually, she and Don have more chemistry now than they did when they were dating, and it's still about the same as what she has with Charlie (and wouldn't that be icky and weird?)
