Liveblogging Planet of the Dead

Is this reminding anyone else of The Wrong Trousers?

Great guarding right there.....I like the little trinket she swapped it for.

Word of advice: when you're escaping from a crime, running makes you more obvious. And always have a bus fare on you.

As if they would have that many police so fast...and guns? Aye,right.

Blowing up a London bus? Bit triggery, no?

Not a Quarry, then. And the inhabitants of London have finally become genre-savvy.

"That's not a name, that's a psychological condition." Hee.

Tasting stuff!

Christina is ready for anything, including bossing the Doctor around.

Ouch, poor bus driver.

Nooo, don't promise you'll get them home, Doctor, that means 60% of them will die. What do you give for Carmen's chances?

I love the Doctor forgetting UNIT's number. The Doctor-worship and the 'Malcolm' unit is hilarious.

Why would there be metal in a storm? When it's not just a storm.

The Doctor talking in fly language sounds like he's about to throw up. He thinks their ship is beautiful, hee.

Yes, keep thinking that about your honest face, Doctor. And don't get too big-headed about fixing the probe.

Out of petrol, never a good sign.

"The worse it gets, the more I like it." Oh yeah, that's the Doctor.

Flying Christina! I was a little worried when Carmen said that, but it was fun.

Donna mention! And here comes the companion pitch...or maybe not.

Thieves alike, heh. And an interesting use of the antique cup.

Flying bus! Hold out for a little longer, Malcolm!

Forget fire at will, close the wormhole!

I love the UNIT captain being surprised that their guns work!

Only one person died, that's a surprise. The Doctor gets a kiss and Christina gets a flying bus.

And a prediction of the upcoming regeneration, nicely cryptic and ominous. Preview looks rather good, too.

And always have a bus fare on you.

Was it Peter Wimsey who told a cautionary tale about someone losing the criminal they were pursuing because they didn't have change for the underground?

I am reminded of Lawrie Marlow in the Marlows and the Traitor who got run over because she didn't have her bus fare with her.

The thing Christina exchanged the cup for was a genuine Japanese Good-Luck Cat. Probably solid gold, too, if it could balance out that thing--proof that she's really not in it for the money.

I liked that too, hee!
