Donated blood today. Among the many questions they asked (I must always look like I'm likely to faint, because the nurses always check I'm feeling ok loads of times -- for blood draws as well -- even though it's never taken a fizz out of me yet) was whether I'd had a smallpox vaccination recently.

Hardly likely, for a software developer.

Do they know something we don't know ;-) Having checked my vaccination record last week (wasn't sure if I had had the teenage diphtheria booster due to wimping out of various in my teens and catching up later), I'm glad that's not one I had to wonder if I needed!

I think smallpox leaves a scar, like the BC, so you'd probably have had that to remind you :)
