Doctor Who: Cold Blood
- Amy rocks. "I dressed for Rio" pays off, and she can pick pockets as well as locks.
- Celery, lol! Nice Five reference.
- I like how Amy's all "The Doctor would know" -- and then starts to figure it out for herself.
- Ah, the Doctor and Nasreen geeking out over the Silurian city.
- I wasn't expecting Ambrose to be the one to kill Alaya. Aw, poor Rory, that was an almost Doctor-like moment of trying and failing to save someone.
- Alaya was trying to get herself killed and thus provoke a war, wasn;t she?
- I like Amy apologising for the failed rescue, and the Doctor's "glad you're okay" as they all get chained up for execution.
- Yay Rory, speaking for the humans. Some of them, anyway.
- Yup, this is why shooting your hostage is a bad idea.
- Yay Amy and Nasreen negotiating and the Doctor cheering them on!
- No, they killed Malokay!
- Erk, it's all coming apart.
- Aw, Nasreen and Tony. Be interesting to come back in a thousand years, yes!
- The crack in the universe returns. Doctor, maybe this is not the time.
- Rory!! Nooooo!! Nooooo!!! And now Amy doesn't even remember him. Waaah!!
- Perhaps its better that she doesn't remember him until he's about to come back. Because he is going to come back, right?
- Ah, Ambrose gets her second chance. Elliott, you're going to get the world ready for the Silurians.
- Oh, no, it's just Amy on the hill this time. Waaaah!
- No, you can't blow up the TARDIS! Not going to happen! Time can be rewritten, remember, Doctor?

If you look at the episode from that perspective, you'll note all the deaths come at the hands of female characters displaying most or all of the above characteristics. I've done a whopping long essay for an anthology on women in New Who and (while I don't explicitly include Torchwood) I also looked at TW to see whether I was seeing something which wasn't there with Chibnall, but I'm not.

I suppose we know that the TARDIS can't go for good, anyway.
