It would be interesting to know just how many 'what did happen with that bounty hunter on Ord Mantell' stories there are out there.

Too many, Cat... just way too many. :P

And I must admit, I'm guilty of writing one! My second H/L fic was about the bounty hunter on Ord Mantell. *Blush*

Now, now, you can't have too many...

I'd like to know that, too. And then I'd like to read them ALL. :-)

The late Carl Sagan would have responded to your question with, "Bill-yuns and bill-yuns...."

The Ord Mantell story is one of the great chestnuts of SW ficdom, along with Han and Leia's first night in the Ewok hut and what-if-Anakin-lived-past-ROTJ. Still, I don't see a lot of them online and well, who cares if it's more Han/Leia action? I've read loads of Anakin/Padme proposal stories and I'll never get sick of them ;).

I think that's one of the reasons I love fanfiction so much; the possibilities are endless!

What's even more interesting is that they had a chance to fix that in the canon and didn't. In the YJK, there was a book called "Return to Ord Mantell" and they left it open, even though it was something they could have addressed, so that was really interesting.
