My sister has the Extended Edition RotK. My baby brother has gone to a RotK-watching party at the minister's house. The minister's eldest son bought it from amazon.co.uk, and it hadn't arrived yet when my brother left for his house. My sister bought her copy from Tesco's.

Watching Extended Return of the King. I bawl like an infant through the whole end sequence, both for the legitimate story reasons and for the mangled Tolkien. You know, that really could have been a superlative film. Growl.
One thing I noticed was how cramped it was, both geographically and timewise. You feel that Rohan, Gondor and Mordor are all tiny countries all on top of each other, and that it all takes place in about three days.
