I made vanilla cake for David to eat, but as I used brown sugar it looks more like coffee cake, particularly the icing. Oh well. Anything to put a bit of weight back on him.

The new pope is called Benedict. I find this disturbing, as that was what our intruder was called in Renwick House. Gillian thought of it.
