And what was Torchwood doing all the time the Doctor was working with UNIT? Don't these alien-fighting organisations ever talk to each other?
Considering her attitude at the end, mightn't Torchwood's purpose have been to develop weapons to fight the things that do not exist in "her world"?
I think Torchwood is to fight all alien threats, including the Doctor if he proves to be dangerous. Which he could be, in an unfortunate collection of circumstances...Harriet Jones thought so, anyway...foreshadowing leik whoa.
I hate the idea of the Doctor and Jack being on opposite sides, too. :(
