owl: woe is the Doctor (woe)

I missed part of the middle because my uncle Jim came to dinner, but

MIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCKEEEEEEYYYY!!!!!!! We're never going to seeeee him again!!!!

He wasn't the idiot any more, and he was so brave and wonderful! I knew whenever Rickey died that Mickey was going to stay in the Cyberworld, but I was hoping that Pete would come back to the real earth when Jackie got Cybered. Although Jackie's satsuma-man boyfriend wouldn't have been pleased. Everyone was great in this. I loved the hoist-with-his-own-petard touch of Lumic being Cybered against his will, and his Lion-Sleeps-Tonight engineer turning on him at the last.

The Doctor giving the Cybermen back their souls was very in keeping with his usual stuff—it's better to be human even if it hurts, even if it's going to kill you.

I loved the Doctor admitting that he's constantly winging it. 'Uhh-yep. But I do it brilliantly.' Oh, Doctor, how I love thee.

Old skool Cybermen backstory! Yayness!

I loved all the action, running about and climbing rope ladders, and Mrs Moore/Price complaining about 'the slowest get-away I've ever seen'. And Ricky turning out to be wanted for parking tickets—love it!! And Pete turning out to be a mole, and team Tyler going in on a rescue mission—woe!!!

Evidently the alt-world didn't have a Hindenberg diaster, if the zeppelins are still filled with hydrogen. And can I say, zeppelins are the coolest.

Next week looks great too. Rose actually making an attempt at period costume, gasp!
