However quite how one successfully applies these to the objecting cat I do not know (recollects childhood attempts to produce paw-prints from otherwise very amiable cat). If it's serious enough to require removal rather than ignoring and not letting the cat on the furniture - I don't know whether tarmac is actually toxic to cats - then I imagine that knocking out by the vet is the easiest method.
