Because when NI was part of one of our big international festivals last summer, he seemed a little unclear on the concept of the island being two countries. Which is kind of typical of US Americans, actually, but one might make the mistake of expecting better from someone who allegedly fulfilled the requirements for a degree from Yale University.
As far as "Nuclear" is concerned, it bears noting that he can actually pronounce the word. He chooses not to because he thinks it gives him down home appeal or something. If you listen closely to his speeches, you'll hear him talk about nookyoolar weapons, but noocleear families.
I'll be so glad when January rolls around. I just hope we don't get stuck with Bush's clone trooper.
