Doctor Who: Flesh and Stone
May. 1st, 2010 10:35 pm- That was proper behind-the-sofa stuff, Amy in the forest surrounded by angels and unable to open her eyes, and her companions winking out of existence one by one.
- She's wearing Converse! Ten's legacy lives on.
- Aw, Father Octavian! I think, sir, you've known me at my best. Gah!
- I liked the Doctor getting Angel Bob to say "comfy chairs", and "never let me talk".
- Eleven made less of a fuss about being wiped out of existence altogether than Ten did about regenerating. I approve.
- Most people seem to have come to the conclusion that the man River killed was the Doctor. I don't know, is that maybe too obvious? Either way she's got pretty interesting.
- So the cracks are following Amy around, and she's possibly the most important person in the universe. Why is her wedding day so significant, though?
- Didn't like the snogging-the-Doctor scene. Apart from the "cheating the night before the wedding" factor, it just felt cringy, like Rose bringing up mortgages in Impossible Planet and getting the brush-off. I wonder if there's any further significance to it, or will Amy dismiss it as an oh-well. Anything but more unrequited pining!
