I don't think you can say Beru is weak just because she says nothing. All that means is she's introverted, or else shy. Flapping your mouth off doesn't make you 'strong', and sometimes it's wiser to keep your ears open and hold your tongue. As for the AotC novelisation, I think it's the worst one of the five there have been so far. i don't even own it. Besides, 'meek' is not synonymous with 'weak'. Jesus Christ was meek, and no one could accuse him of being weak-willed.
