The colours do get lighter in tone as the scale rises; so that a couple of octaves below middle C is dull red, and above is a shiny blue. So on one of those HTML colour charts, it would run from more grey to less grey in the colour, till you reach white. Although then it goes on to silver, go figure. *shrugs*
