Gmail is broken

I get the inbox, but none of the links work. Ah, says I to myself, I need Java enabled. I look. It says Java is enabled. I create a custom security level for gmail. Still not working. Bah, humbug, says I. Anyone know how I can fix this?

By the way, Javascript is disabled in your browser. Gmail requires Javascript to be enabled in order to operate.

To use Gmail, enable Javascript by changing your browser preferences.

After enabling Javascript, try again.

ETA: I did a scan and deleted some adware, and whaddya know, it works!
