I've just been to the library on the way back from having my haircut, and I spotted Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. As approximately 20% of my flist seems to read her, I am glad to finally be able to find out what they are talking about.

Ooh! And Cotillion is an excellent one to start with. :)

Now, that's the one [livejournal.com profile] angua9 won't let me read yet. What's the deal?

Well, Cotillion is one of her best books, but she does play around with her own conventions in it (she does this in Sprig Muslin too). So if you are interested, as Susan is, in determining whether the reader can guess the romantic pairing, it's a good one to wait on.

But if you're just wanting a good read, Cotillion is excellent.

Oh, you can probably go ahead now. I think you've done most of the required preparatory work. :p

[livejournal.com profile] jediowl, I hope you enjoy it!
