Christmas is over, just about; I've had three Christmas dinners, and there's still the remains of a turkey and almost a whole tin of Quality Street left....
The most exciting present I got was the RotS DVD, but I haven't managed to watch any of it yet apart from the special features.
Then yesterday I watched the tape of Doctor Who.
I hated the bit where Harriet Jones tells them to fire the missile, especially after the lovely bit when she told Dubya (would it
still be Dubya at that point?) to go to hell. It sort of spoiled the episode for me, a bit.
But the bit with the Doctor saying he could bring her down with six words, and then going and whispering to the aide—so much like Nine, didn't you think? Is that the end of her career? Because Aliens of London says she served three terms. It was nice to think that we could have a decent politician, for once.
-I love this new Doctor already. Cunning of RTD to have him all sick and vulnerable and cuddly and disarming in this first one, wasn't it?
-Jackie calls him 'sweetheart'! She so fancies him :-P
-Ten seems to do domestic more than Nine. I can't see Nine pulling crackers and eating turkey.
-I love love love Ten already. The single combat with the Sycorax, and the way he said 'Timelord!' after he'd grown his arm back...
-And the group hug, and 'It. Is. Protected.' and the Doctor waking up when Rose asks him to help her....
-Why is there not another episode next week?!

This year, I remember to watch this show. :p
