Army of Ghosts

Somewhat incoherent:
How can Rose be doing the voiceover at the start if she's dead? And what was the point of her talk with Jackie, which like School Reunion seemed to be setting up a return for Earth rather than a death?
I liked the family meetup at the start, and the Doctor wiping off Jackie's snog. And the Doctor doing his techy thing to the strains of the Ghostbusters theme. Also the recurring 3D glasses.
So Torchwood is on Canary Wharf! I notice that Yvonne gives up resisting the Doctor at the end. That'll do wonders for his hubris. But he got her to stop by sitting in a chair and looking at her. And the line about being a nicer person because he hadn't a gun...Ten's turning into Ghandi in his old age!
Was that the girl off Hollyoaks who had her brain pulled out? Doesn't look like she'll be Replacement, then.
And Peggy Mitchell was on Doctor Who!
Mickey!! Oh, Mickey, you're so fine, you're so fine... I love his confidence when he thinks that it's going to be the CyberKing coming out of the sphere.
Of course they're Daleks instead. I have a feeling that Bad Wolf might come into play again, unless the Magic Reset Button has operated again.
The finales are escalating. What'll they do at the end of next season?
I don't want Rose to DDDIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Date: 2006-07-01 08:07 pm (UTC)I have a theory about this, which I am about to post on my own lj - but it's probably going to turn out wrong.

Date: 2006-07-01 09:49 pm (UTC)That's exactly what I thought. I hope she doesn't leave the TARDIS because even she said she wanted to stay "forever" and that "they keep trying to split us up but they never will". The only way I can see her character going is death. Maybe not permanent death, but death nonetheless.

That's exactly what I thought. A total middle finger to the red tops. But I never liked her character anyway, probably because I wanted to get back to the Doctor/Rose/Jackie.

I hope Bad Wolf is a part of the resolution. Maybe Rose dustifies everyone again but this time kills herself in the process.

RTD said in DWM that he already knows what happens in Series 3. And how it ends. Which makes me squee and worry for his sanity at the same time. Just how many hours a day does he spend thinking about Doctor Who?
