Where I'm from: The back of beyond in Northern Ireland
1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks?
Stream or wee burn. If it's man-made and used for drainage, it's a sheugh.
2. What the thing you push around the grocery store/supermarket?
Trolley
3. A metal container to carry a meal in?
Lunchbox
4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in?
Frying pan. Or griddle, if it's flat and has no rim.
5. The piece of furniture that seats three people?
Sofa or couch
6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof?
Gutter
7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening?
Patio
8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages?
Coke, lemonade or orange, depending on the flavour
9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup?
Drop scones or Scotch pancakes, but I don't eat them for breakfast :D
10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself?
'A Subway' (brand name) or 'long bap'
11. The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach?
Swimming trunks

Trainers or gutties (especially the sort with rubber soles and canvas uppers)

Firefly. We don't get them here.

19. What's the evening meal?
Depends on the content. If it's cold and contains a lot of bread-like food (bread and butter, toast, scones, drop scones, salad etc), it's tea. A hot meal with meat veg and carbohydrate is dinner. An evening snack is supper.
20. The thing under a house with the furnace and perhaps a rec room are?
