We're getting an LJ search feature at last! Post in news. Of course, we're also getting ads on the front page when not logged in....

OMG! That's maybe the best feature they've come out with EVER. I hope this includes filtered posts - the ones we're supposed to see, I mean.

I don't mind the ads on the front page, because I'm almost always logged in automatically.

I see the ads because I share a computer with my sister who also has a livejournal.

Apparently the search will include all posts you have permission to see.

I want stats. :(

Apparently the search will include friends-locked posts you have permission to see, and your own private posts.

And we won't get stats because they've already sold them to the advertisers :(

Still, I'm not all that excited.

Why would the advertisers have anything to do with stats for individual journals? Yeah, they give them stats for the site as a whole but that doesn't mean that they can't do anything with them for us. It certainly doesn't give advertisers exclusive rights to the things.
