Re-readingh Cherryh

Note to self: When looking for a bit of reading before bed, you have to be insane to go for Cyteen.

I think it was the first Cherryh I ever read. Naturally I hadn't a clue what was going on until about halfway through. Every time I go back to it I cotton on to something else I missed on previous readings, and stuff I'd forgotten in between.

Sometimes I lift my head and go, "These people are designing psyches?! But they're all completely insane!" And if I'm reading late at night when it's quiet, I can start to think that the book itself is quietly reaching into my subconsciousness and rearranging stuff...

I love Cyteen. As you were saying, it's one of those books I see more in every time I read it.

Do CITs have vases? :-P I dunno about love, I have a sort of fascination with it, which makes me suspect Ari ran an intervention on me the first time I read it *heh*

I think it's ironic the way the programmers are so paternalistic towards the poor unstable azi—I know which dinner table I'd rather eat at.

Heee. Oh, how true. I've only read the book once, and that was a hard slog, because there is so MUCH in the book. But now I'm getting twinges in my brain, wanting to go back and reread...apparently she is coming out with a sequel soonish, too.
