I know that ohnotheydidnt is the LJ equivalent of a tabloid, but if this Half Blood Prince film rumour tuns put to be true I shall be exceedingly irate. I thought we'd have trouble when I heard Kloves was coming back.

ETA: I'm referring to Ron helped win the Quidditch Cup and Lavender runs up to kiss him while Hermione looks on with jealousy.

I know it comes from three sources, but I'd take this with a grain of salt. The Katie Bell decision is explicitly stated to have come from the Davids, NOT Kloves.

The Quidditch thing sounds like they're trying to combine it with OOTP, which doesn't bother me so much. We have NO idea what the context of this is, though, and how it fits with the rest of the movie. And I wouldn't be surprised if Jessie Cave sometimes wears glasses in RL and happened to be spotted wearing them to go over lines or summat between takes.

This is what I hate about all these tidbits of information. They're completely out of context, and people get upset over something that turns out to be a)not true, b)not what everyone thought, or c)not that big a deal after all.

I was talking about the Ron/Lavender kiss being, er, so suspiciously similar to Harry and Ginny's sunlit days. I' glad that Ron's Quidditch looks like being put in, but not if it's at the expense of H/G

I don't know - it makes sense to use a character we already know about (for the Katie/Cho business). But if you are referring to pale shadow of Hermione!Lavender, I'm right with you (though bemused by all the people who seem to be assuming that Lavender is black). My goodness, some HP fans are scary!

I was talking about the pale shadow of the sunlit days kiss, actually. Although LavLav in glasses is not what I would have liked. I suppose it does make more sense if she and Hermione are similar physical types.
I never knew why everyone thought Lavender was black. I assumed that if Dean was, it was statistically unlikely that any of the other 7 Gryffs would be.

Huh? What? I always saw Lavendar as sort of a stereotypical girl, with long, probably blond or brown hair, very light complexion and perhaps a hint of freckles. Sort of the idea of a clique leader.

Weird how after all these years I STILL find random bits of fandom trivia I have no idea about!

A black actress played Lavender in the PoA movie. She didn't get any lines, but she was credited as Lavender.
