*mildly puzzled* You know, I learned a while ago that there was a way for people to tell if somebody's reading them on a filter -- involves posting an image that's hosted somewhere you can see the stats for what sites pulled on it, and then if somebody is reading you on a filter, you can apparently tell. But I admit to being at something of a loss as to why you'd have a filter with an insulting name that you'd actually post to.
I can understand wanting to leave it so you can describe the filter yourself or not, as you please, though.
Well, I might want to post about my love life to everyone except my friend Jocelyn, because I love her dearly but she has a tendency to over-share about her love life in thousand-word comments and I don't want to know. Unfortunately, if the mythical Jocelyn also gets upset about being filtered out, I don't really want everyone else seeing that I've got a 'Not Jocelyn' filter. It feels like I'm asking them to take sides, when actually I'n just trying to make my day run a bit smoother.
Also, I have filters with insulting names because I have a rather childish sense of humour. ;)
Well, I don't have a "Boring People from Work" filter, but I'd rather everyone not be able to see my filter names - mostly because they're not that descriptive to anyone but me. :P
