Martha, yay! I loved that they were eyeing each other cautiously and then just ran together and hugged.

UNIT can get the GMC to hurry itself up? Wonders will never cease.

I LOVED that the Doctor was all 'No fighting' and then they completely hit it off.

The Doctor's still on UNIT staff! LOL! And Donna got a salute too, heh.

The 'I'm leaving' scene and the Doctor getting all emo and telling Donna how wonderful she is and then, oops, it's just a visit. :)

And it came within shouting distance of passing the "two-women-talking-not-about-a-man" test.

I like Ross the UNIT not-a-grunt.

The Doctor correcting grammar!

The Doctor using reverse psychology on the car was nifty.

The Sontarans are great evil baked potato villains (ha ha they got left out of the Time War!), but that evil child genius can't die fast enough for my liking. Also, his accent is weird.

I liked Donna's family all going, "What, you know him too?" about the Doctor. Grandad is great.

I am a little cross that we have to share Martha's onscreen time with evil!Martha.

The whole scene at the end with Grandad trapped in the car, I kept shouting at the TV screen, "Get a hammer, idiots!" I was really expecting Donna to come running up with a half-brick, it seems like a characteristic thing for her to do.

I bet Donna-with-half-brick (or something like) happens within the first 30 seconds of next week's episode. It was a fairly lame cliffhanger, because there's no way a family show could kill Bernard Cribbens, is there?

And I forgot the reverse psychology bit in my review, but yes, that was ace!

I like Ross too. I keep thinking I've seen him in something. Perhaps it's just that he looks a bit like Prince William, poor lamb...

... ah, the wonders of IMDB! He was in Echo Beach.

I think it may be because he looks like Pte Tommy Brockless in Torchwood.

Incidentally, are you interested in seeing Barrowman in panto in January? Even if you don't care for panto, the usual suspects will be out in force (rather more subdued - and hung-over - lunch in Oxford next day for non-participants.

That sounds like fun, what are the dates and who do I send a cheque to?

Ditto.

I was irritated by the new gung ho black ops UNIT and the Doctor's holier than thou attitude to them - until it occured to me that if he hadn't been too busy being Morally Superior to the Major, he might have thought to pick up a radio and contact him dierectly, bypassing Evil Clone! Martha.

Oddly touching that they're still using the 'greyhound' and 'trap' call signs, though.
