The weather is killing my brain. It's lovely in the mornings and evenings, but work is icky because the building is stifling, the desk fans blow all your papers about the room, and the drains in the courtyard are doing their annual reek-fest. Apparently the Water Service has been informed.

elerrina_amanya and I have decided that it is too hot to cook (although not too hot to walk to the shop for ice-cream, obviously), so we're only getting around to supper now. The heat would be the reason why she's decided to spring-clean her bedroom and hoover the house. It shamed me into cleaning the bathroom, though.

I confess, that having for once the privilege of a lovely shaded office (overlooking a nice garden), I am immensely enjoying the weather. Not so hot as to be enervating (for me, at least), and just in time when I felt that if I put on black for work one more day I would crack!

But I can see how sewage reek might inspire a different frame of mind...
