So I downloaded Firefox 3 on Download Day (my birthday, incidentally), but I haven't got around to installing it yet.

Is anyone using it already? Bugs, issues with add-ons? Should I start using it now?

I'm using it, and I haven't had any problems. It loads a lot faster than the earlier version.

My only complaint is that a couple of my favourite add-ons, like LJ-login, don't work, and I expect that will change in the coming months.

I do, and that one's fine. So are my download add-ons. It's just a couple of others like LJ-login and the one that lets you download YouTube stuff that failed.

I've been using it since RC1 on both my Windows machine and iMac without problems.

I'm thinking I might install it on my parent's computer, and see how I like it before I install it on the laptop. They'll probably complain loudly if they notice, though. Is the user experience much different from 2.whatever?

The biggest change I've noticed is that it remembers your history and suggests urls when you type the first few letters into the address window.

Firefox 2 does that for me as well. It must be something in the settings that you didn't have turned on.
