I'm happy, mostly.
I wasn't expecting Harrycrux! I liked it, though, and resurrecting!Harry, and the gateway to the afterlife being King's Cross.
Snape:Lily'sDumbledore's man, through and through. *sniff* And so exceedingly Doomed.
Sneaky of JKR to throw in another set of magical objects when we were all so focused on the Horcruxes. Yeah, yeah, plot tokens. It worked for me in The Dark is Rising, so (BTW, ARGH terrible adaptation it burns us, precious).
I'm a bit confused about what way the Trace on the underage wizards works, because before it was the house not the wizard, and also where Gryffindor's sword is now and how annoyed Griphook was not to keep it...and where Harry finds out what Lily's Patronus is. Plot hole?
I must go and look at the Harmaniacs' reactions to the epilogue :) Also, I can't help thinking that "She's like my sister," he went on. "I love her like a sister and I reckon she feels the same way about me. It's always been like that. I thought you knew."
was written just for them.
And, oh, Remus and Tonks! Dobby!! Fred! Snape! Hedwig! Remus and Tonks! *cries*
Neville was brilliant, and his granny! And I liked seeing Luna's dad, and the return of the DA, and Snape's memories of Lily, and Dudley, and Percy coming back and actually making a joke, Ron stomping off and coming back, Molly taking out Bellatrix, and Kreacher and the house-elves (and SPEW being vindicated), and Trelawney flinging crystal balls, Hermione's Mary Poppins!handbag, and Luna and the exploding horn, and Dumbledore having a dodgy past and being so manipulative and yet still (for me) sympathetic.
I loved the way the clues from previous books fitted together. I can't believe it's all over!
