What's the weirdest Harry Potter couple you can think of?: Harry/Hedwig.

Lord Voldemort or Albus Dumbledore?: Dumbledore.

FANDOM - FANFIC STUFF
1. What is your favorite Fandom?
I started out in LotR (long before the films--I got a zine), but it's been taken over by Orli fangirls. I'm in exile till it returns to normal. Star wars is the fandom I'm probably most active in. I've written a lot of one-shots and a novel-length fic, and am in the (slow) process of writing another.
2. What fandom crossovers, if any, do you like to see in your fanfic?
I don't really do crossovers. My fandoms are too differnet to mesh well. Though I did have this bunny of Frodo and Luke turning up at Hogwarts to advise harry on the Hero's Journey: 'Your chances of getting out of this with ten fingers are next to nothing...'
3. What are your favorite pairings and why?
Ron/Hermione: They're just sweet, and they balance each other so well.
Harry/Ginny: I like the complexity, the potential angstiness of the relationship, and yet it has great strength as well. Just like the kids themselves.
Remus/Tonks: She's so warm and bubbly and endearing when she knocks things over, and he's lonely and a victim of predudice and it would be lovely for him to have someone--and they seems like good frinds.
Molly/Arthur: Just because.
Neville/Luna: Because he introduced himself 'I'm nobody.' I think they have a sort of similarity, being both loners. Though I'd ship Neville/Ginny if I didn't think she would be with Harry.
These next questions are Harry Potter slash specific:
4. Which pairing do you prefer to read?
I don't read slash much. Sirius/Remus is okay.
ajhalluk writes excellent Draco/Neville, but it's not just for Teh Slash!!111eleventyone!11!
(I'm assuming it breaks away from slash here?)
5. At Hogwarts or post Hogwarts?
Both. Either.
6. What professions do you like to see your pair in and which do you hate?
How does this work with pairings? What does it have to do with pairings?
Harry I'd actully see as the DADA teacher, but JKR has ruled that out. Ginny I think would make a great Auror. Hermione...something like a Healer, or campaigning for a good cause (rights for non-humans and Muggleborns). Ron, I'm not sure, something that involves working with people. Neville; herbologist and luna editing the Quibbler :-D
7. What kinks do you like to see in fics?
Not large on the kinks.
8. What totally squicks you?
Incest and adult/minor. Human/non-human
9. Are you a happy ending person?
Not a simple "happy ending," but a complex one, the "eucatastrophe" that Tolkien talks about. I like a happy ending that's bought and paid for in sacrifice. (Copied straight from
fernwithy)
10. Hurt/comfort, angst, romance, AU. What is your favorite category/type of fic?
I like most sorts of fic, but I'm not too great on excessive pain. I liek fics to fit with the source thematically.
11. Describe the ultimate fic, how it makes you feel, what it must have, etc.
I like fics with lots of layers, a good balance of plot, angst and humour or romance. Good characterisation a must.
