Numb3rs 5.19: Animal Rites

It took me a long time to get around to watching this, and when I did it was rather interrupted, including the arrival of the police to our noise-nuisance neighbours. Sadly, none of the police resembled Don and team.

• Lorna's all right, I suppose. But..but...but...Megan! Larry isn't meant to have another girlfriend *sniffles*



• The old professor dead in the cage was pretty disturbing. No wonder Charlie was so shaken up.



• How much did I love Don at "Take a walk with me," and his insisting on dragging Charlie off despite his protests? Oh, boys :)



• Nikki and Liz at the cafe were hilarious. "Busted."



• Where is Colby? This is one long fishing trip.



• CalSci is tremendously well organised, that it can produce on request not only a student's timetable, but his essays. In my experience they were just as likely to be stuffed behind a radiator somewhere.



• Poor Charlie getting all upset when he found out that the kid was a maths student. It reminded me a bit Structural Corruption, the one with the student who committed suicide.



• Why were Charlie and Amita of all people analysing the essays? With their advanced knowledge of, er, people skills. This is where we miss Megan. I liked that Larry came up with sending in the dog, though.



• Don all commanding and controlled in Kevar, mmm. I loved him reigning in Nikki without blowing his lid. And saying "You never lie to them, that's the first rule."



• Nikki has guts, though, I'll give her that. Sense is still a bit lacking, though. Don's absolutely right to send her on the negotiation training, although you'd think that she'd have to have done that already at some point in her career.



• I was amused by the fact that it was Liz who had to crawl into the wall. No-one else would be skinny enough. I do like Liz these days.



• Charlie, I do not think 'gumption' is the word you're looking for here. 'Chutzpah', more likely. But we know how good you are at Scrabble. I liked him and Alan playing chess, although you'd think by now Alan would know he's going to get trashed.



• Is that a white-only vegetarian diet, Larry?

my mind reels/shudders at the thought of what it would involve.

though I predict that Lorna will call an end to the dates, and if anyone asks, she'll mutter darkly about being "the other woman" in outings where she was the only woman. :D

It's not like Lorna's going to stick around; could they not have left the poor SS Larry/Megan in peace?
