Blah working

I've been working in the nursing home for the last few days, on the 11 o'clock shift. I used to hate that one, but I think I've got the hang of setting up the tables now. The last two nights I had to lock up, both very late by the time I finally got away. I couldn't find the keys on Saturday night, though they were hanging on a nail two feet from my nose, and last night the trolleys were very late coming down, and the girl who was on with me took a header while carrying a pot full of soup. The floor was wet, which was why she fell, but it was wetter still afterwards. We mopped it and dried it with tea-towels, which would give the health and safety people conniptions if they knew.
Wee Rebekah was growling at one of the other children in church yesterday, so she now has a new nickname of 'The Growler'. Speaking of growling, we're dog-sitting at the minute. Jet (the dog) and Buffy (the (male) cat) seem to be getting on all right at present. We took Jet for a walk by the towpath as far as Broad Water. In the rain, I may add. We saw a pair of swans with eight cygnets, and lots of moorhens and mallards. Wet dogs smell badly, I have found.
