Hallowe'en

The Aurora Borelis was bright last night. Couldn't see much here in Belfast because of the streetlights, but the cresent (waxing) moon did look orange. Very Hallowe'en-ish.

My Good Shipper/die-hard H/G-er was secretly amused to be hacking up pumpkins last night. *hee*


In other news, my project is sapping my will to live. Someone needs to inform the astrophysical community that cm^-1 is not a unit of energy.

You live in Belfast? One of my college roommates and her new husband live there (she met him while in Belfast before senior year of college) :) Jennine and Martin McKenna (I think that's the last name, I'll have to check.) How odd would it be if you knew the family!

No, I don't think I know them, but I only live in Belfast when I'm at uni. My family comes from 20 miles up the country. Besides, Belfast's hardly a village-where abouts do they live?

I'm not sure where exactly they live, I didn't get to go over for the wedding in July seeing as I was studying.

I guess just from hearing Martin and his family talk, everyone in Belfast seems to know each other. :)

'Pumpkin Pie' is one of the nicknames of the Harry/Hermione ship, natural rival of R/H and H/G, which I prefer.

It was from a fic where Hermione kisses Harry and he tastes of pumpkin pie. The fact that pumpkin pie is practically unknown in England notwithstanding ;)
