Just back from RotK. I started crying when Sam and Frodo met up again in the tower of Cirith Ungol, and wept more or less constantly from there forward. The baffling changes in the earlier parts distracted me somewhat, which was perhaps fortunate. Why would Frodo believe Gollum rather than Sam, even if he was tormented by the ring? Why was Gandalf beating up Denethor? The way they made the film it looked like Gandlaf caused the entire war. And why has Legolas taken on the CosFilm!Hermione role of explained to others things which they knew and he canonically did not?
The hobbits were so precious! The farewell at the Grey Havens was heartbreaking, and Bilbo's "I'm ready for another adventure." line. I want a stuffed Elijah. The cuteness of the poor little brave hobbit!

I cried when Frodo told Sam to go home, and at the end, when Frodo left. And somewhere else, but I forget where. =D
