Clocks have gone back and I'm now walking home in the dark, ugh.

ETA: is 'ground beef' not American-speak for mince? If so, on pizza?

Ground beef and mincemeat are not the same thing. From what I understand, mincemeat has fruit and spices in it. Unless by "mince" you just mean chopped up very small, then yes, it could be the same. (Though I've never heard anyone refer to meat this way.)

Mince is the ordinary British term for meat put through a shredder, 'steakmince' if it's from a named part of the animal. Mincemeat is the Christmas stuff. 'Ground beef' sounds to me like you're bashing it with stones, whereas mince definitely has blades involved.

Haha. It must be the same then. We usually use the term "mince" to refer to chopping something, usually garlic, onion, ginger, etc., very small.
