I was actually slightly surprised to hear that the Democratic primary is over; it had got to the point where it seemed like it had been going on FOREVER and there was no reason why it shouldn't continue indefinitely. I'm glad our election campaigns are so much shorter or I would be driven insane.

You probably already know, but I'm just putting it out there... this primary was abnormally long. Abnormally very long, and different in many ways at least from any I've ever witnessed or read about. Or maybe this one was just visible from the very beginning, for obvious reasons, making it seem longer.

I won't argue it seemed like it would go on forever.

I think it was like that around the world. I remember being deployed to Iraq during the 2004 elections and having the Iraqis tell me in very limited English who they liked. Honestly they were split about 50/50, just like we were back home.

Wait, you mean it hasn't been going on forever? :P

I honestly don't remember the last time I turned on the news and there wasn't some mention of the primary. They were talking about the primaries even before it all "officially" began. I really wish we could just vote tomorrow and be done with it all already.

Like I said above... this isn't the norm. This is the strangest primary season I've ever seen.
