owl: Donna Noble. (Donna)

I liked this one. Glad that the issue with the slavery of the Ood was addressed after the Doctor ignoring it in series 2.

The episode felt rather old-school Who to me, anyone else getting that?

I liked Donna stepping out of the TARDIS, going 'It's freezing!' and dashing back inside for a parka and missing the Doctor's inspirational speech. And her not being able to hear him mirroring her not being about to hear the Ood song later.

And he's so pleased that it's finally real snow, bless!

Alien planet = Giant big quarry with snow, heh.

Oooh, stethoscope! Did he swipe it from Martha?

Dr and Mrs Noble. Heheheh.

I liked the Doctor doing the telepathy thing with Donna like he did with Reinette. And that she couldn't bear the song and asked him to take it away, and then realised that he can still hear it...

Donna saying that you can't help but be peaceful when you're holding your brain in your hands. Go, Donna!

The characters from the corporation were all dull and unpleasant and I just wanted them all to die and get it over with, but the brain eating the Friends of the Ood spy was a bit yucky.

Everyone's song must end? Oh, dear, do I sense a regeneration approaching? Or, worse, are they going to kill off Donna?

"I don't know right from wrong any more" Oh, Donna, and you've only been travelling with him for two episodes. Please don't go all floppy on us now!

Next week we get Martha! Doesn't look like Donna's too impressed with the Doctor's job recommendation, then.

"Everyone's song must end?"

I reckon that was a bit of prophecy from the Ood, heralding the end of David Tennant's role as The Doctor at the end of the series.

I loved that she went back for a coat, it is totally what we would do in her situation.

I just love how human Donna is and how alien the Doctor comes across as a result, she cares about people(and alens) where he sometimes has to be reminded to do so.

Old school, yes. I think part of it seems to be that the Doctor and Donna have really revived the more traditional Doctor and companion roles (minus the flimsy ankles)

That was a rather blatant use of the foreshadowing stick, wasn't it?

Old school yes, the early planet scenes made me think of all the old "filmed in a disused quarry" episodes.

Finally we get a proper Welsh quarry, and they've spraypainted the thing.

If it is referring a new regeneration, they're hiding it extremely well.

And yes, I thought it was very old school in terms of story, of setting, and even of sets. In fact the set looked similar to the set from the Torchwood story Meat.

That is a strong possibility. Another is that it will be Rose who dies.

I thought it quite interesting they played a bit of Rose's music right at the end when they were saying goodbye to the Ood. It seemed to mean something.
